I joined Davidson, Holland, Whitesell & Co., PLLC, in October of 1996 as a member. In my current capacity, I direct the audit and accounting function of the firm, while continuing to serve clients in many industries, with a concentration in furniture and other manufacturing. I have 24 years of auditing and accounting background and experience. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of Florida in 1977. After spending three years in private industry, I joined the public accounting firm of A.M. Pullen & Company in 1980. A.M. Pullen & Company became McGladrey & Pullen through a merger in 1984, and I then became a partner with the Charlotte, North Carolina office of McGladrey & Pullen, LLP in 1989. I have served clients with annual sales ranging from $3 million to $400 million in the areas of audit and accounting, business planning, merger and acquisition assistance, and internal control.

I am a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, I am a member of Highland Baptist Church, and Western Catawba County Kiwanis Club. I have served as Lieutenant Governor for Division 4 of the Carolina's District of Kiwanis International. I have also served on the Finance Committee of the Western Piedmont Symphony, the allocations committee for the United Way, and as chairman of Catawba County Junior Achievement.
